Businessman Gianni Forte, the victim of repeated acts of intimidation and an attempted robbery in his Barra neighborhood in Naples, is appealing to the authorities. Forte, who last month organized a march for legality in Barra with the participation of numerous authorities, is calling for a "Caivano decree" for his neighborhood.
"My neighborhood has now fallen into a climate of terror ," Forte declared. "Don't leave us alone ," added the entrepreneur, who reported all the incidents he had experienced.
The investigation has been entrusted to the police, who are reviewing footage from surveillance cameras. Forte's request has highlighted the security situation in Barra, on the eastern outskirts of Naples.
Forte calls for similar measures to be adopted in Barra, where crime is creating a climate of terror and intimidation. Forte's appeal has been taken up by some local politicians, who have announced that they will present a parliamentary question on the security situation in Barra.
The incident has sparked a debate on the need for urgent interventions to combat crime in Naples and the province.
Here are the three attacks suffered by Forte:
On February 4, four hooded people blocked traffic in front of his Eurobet betting center on Via Alberto Marghieri in Barra.
The next day, a man attempted to rob the same betting shop, but was stopped by the employee's quick thinking.
On February 5, another robbery attempt was carried out in a Eurobet betting center between Barra and Ponticelli, in via Volpicella, also owned by Forte.
L
and police investigations are ongoing. The images from the video surveillance cameras could help identify the perpetrators of the crimes. Forte's request for a "Caivano decree" for Barra has opened a debate on security in Naples and the province.
