In the images recorded by the surveillance cameras of the Daytona Hotel parking lot in Casoria A thief was caught on camera stealing fuel from a parked tourist bus.
The video was sent to the deputy of Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, and to the city councilor of Europa Verde, Salvatore Iavarone, so that those responsible can be identified. Five 5-liter cans were stolen from the bus, which was carrying some Polish tourists visiting the city of Naples.
The images were deemed unacceptable by tourists, who expressed surprise that such crimes could still occur in 2024, while in Poland they are now a distant memory.
The video was shared with law enforcement to help identify the thief. Borrelli and Iavarone emphasized that such an incident severely damages the city's image and negatively impacts the efforts made by institutions and tourism and hospitality operators to ensure a quality welcome for visitors.
The important role of the tourism sector in the region's economy and development was also highlighted, underscoring the need for increased law enforcement resources to ensure the safety and protection of the millions of visitors to Naples and its province.
