The Archaeological Museum of Stabia Libero d'Orsi reopens with a new layout and an expanded itinerary.
In addition to the exhibitions, the museum will host a training and digitalization school, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the museum's storage rooms. The inauguration, scheduled for Monday, March 4 at 15:6 p.m., will be presided over by the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, while the opening to the public is scheduled for March XNUMX.
The inauguration event will be attended by prominent figures in the field, including Massimo Osanna, Director General of the Museums; Raffaele Cannizzaro, Prefect of the Special Commission of the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia; Gabriel Zuchtriegel, Director General of the Pompeii Archaeological Park; Libero D'Orsi Maria Rispoli, Director of the Stabia Archaeological Museum; and Professor Carlo Rescigno of the Luigi Vanvitelli University of Campania.
The ceremony will end with a closing speech by the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano. During the inauguration, the commander of the Carabinieri Nucleus for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Naples, Captain Massimiliano Croce, will present the recovery of approximately 125 archaeological finds from Campania, the result of a collaboration with the Protection Area of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. These finds will be preserved and exhibited in the renovated Archaeological Museum of Stabia Libero D'Orsi.
