In the locality of “Borgo Centore” in the municipality of Cellole, in the province of Caserta, the Carabinieri Forestale Unit of Sessa Aurunca has discovered a case of unauthorized spreading of livestock waste on agricultural land.
The responsible livestock farm was identified and the tanker used for spreading was seized as it was found still full of effluent.
The company owner was reported for violating the regional ban on spreading livestock effluents during an unauthorized period, as provided for by the Consolidated Environmental Act.
In Campania there has been a ban since last December 1st
This ban is in force in Campania from December 1st until the end of February of the following year, except for specific exemptions.
The presence of large puddles and runoff of livestock waste has made the illegality of the livestock farm's behavior evident.
