
Castellammare. The D'Alessandro clan's illegal economy has been dealt a severe blow. Seven members and front men of the powerful Camorra clan, headquartered in the hilltop neighborhood of Scanzano, have been arrested.
Thanks to a thorough investigation by the Guardia di Finanza Castellammare, under the coordination of the district anti-mafia directorate of Napoli betting centers have been identified and closed.

The seven arrested are charged with criminal conspiracy, illicit money transfer, self-laundering, and extortion for the benefit of the D'Alessandro clan.
The investigations highlighted illegal activities related to the collection of bets and illicit earnings through internet points and betting agencies, six of which were seized.
