An 18-year-old was beaten, kidnapped, and stuffed into the trunk of a car. The Carabinieri of Santa Maria Capua Vetere arrested four people for aggravated assault, domestic violence, and kidnapping.
The attack occurred on the night between 21 and 22 February 2023. The victim, an 18-year-old, was in Piazza De Michele in Macerata Campania with some friends.
A group of youths attacked him, punching him in the face and causing a compound fracture of his nasal bones. They then dragged him by his hair, preventing him from escaping, and forced him into the trunk of a car.
Then they abandoned him on the side of the road in a different place from where they had picked him up.
The Carabinieri of the Macerata Campania station carried out an investigative activity.
They interviewed people with knowledge of the facts, viewed surveillance footage and analyzed telephone records.

And it is thanks to these investigative activities that they were able to identify those responsible for the attack and reconstruct the dynamics of what happened.
The four precautionary measures:
The investigating judge of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere issued an order imposing precautionary measures. One young man was arrested and placed in prison. Three young men were placed under house arrest.
The measure was requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
Deputy Prosecutor Carmine Renzulli underlined the importance of the investigative work carried out by the Carabinieri.
The complex investigative activity allowed us to shed light on the incident and bring the culprits to justice.
