The Carabinieri of the Tenenza of cercola they executed a custodial detention order issued by the Court of Nola at the request of the local prosecutor's office, against a 43 year old individual residing in Pollena Trocchia, already known to the police. The man is strongly suspected of being involved in the crimes of aggravated extortion, robbery, personal injury, illegal possession of a gun and a knife, all perpetrated against his mother, starting in November of last year.
The investigation, conducted by the Carabinieri of Cercola under the guidance of the Nola Prosecutor's Office, arose from the complaint filed by the mother of the arrested man. The latter allegedly continually asked his mother for money, often resorting to physical violence, such as kicks and punches, and serious threats. The man, known for his habit of gambling and taking drugs, allegedly threatened his mother with a knife on several occasions, trying to force her to hand over money. The elderly victim, exasperated and frightened, was forced to seek refuge with her sister to escape the constant extortion requests of her son, who had recently also equipped himself with a revolver.
Faced with the serious accusations, the mother turned to the Carabinieri of Cercola, who, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of Nola, managed to gather multiple clues of guilt against the man. The latter, fearing an imminent arrest, made himself untraceable. However, the military, focusing their search on possible hiding places, located him in a hotel in the Poggioreale area, located near an arcade.
This morning's raid demonstrated the thoroughness of the investigations, and the man was found in a hotel room, with the complicity of the owner of the facility. The suspect was transferred to prison awaiting trial, while the owner of the hotel was reported at large for having facilitated the permanence of the wanted man in the facility.
