Filming in Naples, Nottefonda: new Rai film with Di Leva and Pantaleo

The new film “Nottefonda”, produced by Mad Entertainment and Rai Cinema, is currently in production in Naples.

The film stars Francesco Di Leva, winner of the David di Donatello 2023 as “Best Supporting Actor”, and his son Mario, known for his participation in the Rai Uno fiction “Resta con me”. The film, the first work by Giuseppe Miale Di Mauro, is inspired by his novel “La Strada degli Americani” and the cast also includes Adriano Pantaleo, Valeria Colombo and Giuseppe Gaudino.

Filming has already begun at the end of January and further filming is planned in Ponticelli at the end of February. This will include the simulation of a violent car accident at night, with set cars, stuntmen and fake ambulances and police cars.

Filming will last two days and will be regulated by the Municipal Police, with the set set up near the intersection between Via Domenico De Roberto and Strada Comunale Galeone.

“Nottefonda” is loosely based on the novel “La Strada degli Americani” written by the director with Bruno Oliviero and Francesco Di Leva, who is also the protagonist together with his son Mario Di Leva. The plot revolves around the story of Ciro, a man looking for whoever hit and killed his wife on the road at night.

This search led to his loss and separation from his 13-year-old son Luigi, who is forced to grow up quickly to keep his father from descending into hell.
