Five minors driving around Naples in a 180-horsepower Abarth: car seized, parents alerted.

The Carabinieri of the Naples Central Company, engaged in nightlife controls in Naples, intercepted an Abarth 500 with five boys on board, all minors between the ages of 15 and 16.

At the wheel was a 15-year-old who, heedless of the rules and the risks to himself and others, sped through the streets of the historic center in a 180 horsepower racing car, capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 6,7 seconds.

The boys, from Arzano , were out "enjoying the evening", without any awareness of the seriousness of their behavior.

The carabinieri stopped them and made them get out of the car, trying to make them understand the danger of their action. The boys, for their part, remained silent, afraid at the idea of being discovered by their parents.

The car was returned to the unsuspecting parent

The car, owned by the unsuspecting father of one of the boys, was seized, while the minors were handed over to their respective parents, who will have to answer for what happened.

The episode is emblematic of the superficiality and recklessness with which some kids approach the issue of road safety. Driving a car, especially a racing car like the Abarth 500, requires great responsibility and awareness, qualities that unfortunately minors often lack.

The task of educating children to behave responsibly on the road falls first and foremost to parents, who must supervise their children and instill in them respect for the rules and a sense of danger.

The police, for their part, will continue to carry out their checks to ensure safety on the roads, but it is essential that there is a collective commitment to educate young people to drive responsibly.
