An episode of unheard-of violence has upset the morning of an Anm driver NapoliThe man, around 50 years old, was punched by a passenger who tried to get off the bus outside the stop.
The incident occurred around 9am at the tram parking at Sant'Erasmo. The young man, who was traveling on line 421, demanded to get off at a point not foreseen by the route. When the driver refused, the passenger began to insult him and, once they reached the terminus, he vented his anger with a vile beating.
The driver, who was shot in the back, was taken to the hospital with a yellow code. Law enforcement officers arrived on the scene and are investigating the incident to identify the attacker, who fled after the violent attack.
The complaint of the Usb union
"We firmly condemn this vile act and express our full solidarity and sympathy to the attacked colleague.", commented Adolfo Vallini of the provincial executive Usb work private from Naples.
The union denounces the lack of safety measures for drivers and users of local public transport, calling for the activation of a company crisis unit to address and resolve these incidents, which, unfortunately, occur with worrying frequency.
A security problem
The attack on the ANM driver is just the latest in a series of violent incidents on Naples' public transportation system. The lack of enforcement, a sense of impunity, and widespread frustration create a climate of tension that erupts into acts of unprecedented brutality.
Urgent action is needed to protect the safety of those who work and travel on public transport, ensuring greater safety and compliance with regulations.
