From February 23, 2024, Joe Barbieri's new EP celebrating Neapolitan songs with the participation of Nico Di Battista and Oscar Montalbano will be available on all digital streaming platforms.
After celebrating his thirty-year career last year with a long and successful tour, Joe Barbieri is preparing to tackle one of the most significant and exciting projects of his career, his personal homage to the Great Neapolitan Song through an album and a series of concerts that will be titled “Vulío”. Barbieri has already previewed a splendid unreleased song entitled “Vulesse 'O Cielo” and in January a preview of four songs.
The remaining songs from “Vulío” will be revealed digitally in groups of 4 each month starting with the next ones that will be released this February 23rd and which will be “Don Salvato'”, “Reginella”, “'Na Bruna” and “Santa Lucia Luntana”.
All the songs will finally be collected in a CD to be released on April 19th. Just in time to start the tour that will bring Joe Barbieri to many Italian theaters and festivals:

“Those who know me know how much respectful modesty I have towards Classical Neapolitan Song – says Barbieri – a modesty that over the years has often led me to desist from touching this treasure chest. However, inside me there has always burned the vulío (a word from my native language that I find beautiful, which means 'desire' and which also has to do with the wings of a dream) to pay homage to these works of art that have always illuminated my steps as an artist. Today, when I understand how important it is in life to let oneself go to gestures of love so as not to accumulate useless and late regrets, I feel the time has come to pay a due and free homage to my beloved Naples.”
