The prosecutors of the Naples DDA have requested life imprisonment for the two killers of Francesco Immobile, a 35-year-old killed in Torre Annunziata the 12 September 2021.
The murder took place in broad daylight, on the steps of the church of Sant'Alfonso de Liguori, before the eyes of numerous faithful and Immobile's son.
The damning evidence against the two defendants, Pietro Pallonetto and Gaetano Izzo, includes the DNA of one of the killers found on the helmet used during the ambush, a distinctive tattoo, and images from video surveillance cameras.
Immobile was the nephew of the repentant killer Michele Palumbo and married to the niece of the boss Francesco Gallo. The murder is believed to have taken place in the context of the feud between the Fourth System and the Gallos.

Immobile had been arrested for drug dealing and was considered close to the Gallo-Cavalieri clan.
The attack, which occurred just minutes after Sunday Mass, was seen as an act of defiance and a show of strength by the Camorra. Alfredo L., a minor at the time and a member of the commando, has already been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the attack.
