Ponticelli, 15-year-old stabs 19-year-old: then accompanied by his parents he goes to the police station and confesses

Naples. A violent 15-year-old from Ponticelli stabs a 19-year-old girl during a common argument that broke out over trivial reasons. Discovered thanks to the immediate investigations of the Carabinieri, he showed up at the barracks accompanied by his lawyer and parents and confessed.

The argument between the two youths occurred on January 19th on the streets of Ponticelli. The 15-year-old stabbed the 5-year-old five times with a knife. Fortunately, the blows missed vital parts of the body, and the 19-year-old was taken to the Ospedale del Mare hospital, where he received only a 19-day prognosis after receiving medical treatment.

Her assailant then presented himself at the Ponticelli Carabinieri station and confessed. Yesterday, his arrest was not confirmed by the Naples Juvenile Court magistrate, as there was no risk of his absconding, having confessed. Therefore, the prosecutor ordered his placement in a community facility pending trial.

More Knives in Naples: Checks, Seizures and Arrests

The city news is back to dealing with knives. The Carabinieri of the provincial command of Naples have been conducting daily checks for some time to prevent the spread of weapons among the youngest, in particular knives, daggers and easily concealable blades.

In addition to checks, intensive awareness-raising efforts are underway. A poster and brochure, with powerful, evocative images, distributed in schools and public places, send a clear message: "You are the first victim!" Anyone who uses a knife harms not only the victim, but also their own life.

Seizures of cutting and firearms are a daily occurrence.
