This morning, the police headquarters of Salerno organized a high-impact operation in Matierno, involving over 80 law enforcement officers, including state police, carabinieri, financial police and dog units.
A helicopter supported the field activities. During the operation, about twenty searches were carried out. As a result of the action, CG, born in 1994, was arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
In his home, approximately 400 grams of hashish were found hidden inside a refrigerator, a precision scale and approximately 500 euros. An air pistol without a red cap was also found and seized for further technical investigations.
During another search, VG, born in 1970, was reported at large for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing, having been found in possession of approximately 40 grams of hashish.
In total, over 150 people and 120 vehicles were checked in the area. Some vehicles were seized for not complying with current regulations.
