A recent episode of vandalism has once again affected public transport yesterday evening, in the Municipality of bacoli, located in the province of NapoliThis time, an EAV-operated bus was targeted, and fortunately no passengers were injured. A rock was thrown through the EAV bus's window, causing it to shatter, and it will now be repaired.
The object used appears to have been a rock, but the relevant authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to obtain further details. Umberto De Gregorio, president of EAV, commented on the incident, stating: "There appears to have been a resurgence of vandalism in recent weeks, some of it even clearly aimed at creating panic."
"Workers deserve respect and shouldn't be intimidated, but there's clearly a need for greater attention to safety on local public transport. We're doing our part, but further support is essential. We're cooperating fully with law enforcement, and we're open to further initiatives."
