From the classroom to the company. After classroom training, the 2022-2024 ITS-ICT Academy students begin their transition into the world of work. This morning, at Porta Futuro Lazio , approximately 60 young people listened to the voices of 15 information technology companies.
"During the course, the students acquired the practical skills required by companies. Today we have reached the end of this phase and the students will put into practice in the company the skills acquired in the classroom - explained Fabrizio Rizzitelli, president of the Its-Ict Academy Foundation - in the meantime, a further training course has started, in October 2023, in which we have implemented further actions to support the training of the students, such as tutoring for each individual student.
As well as orientation starting from schools. Thanks to the funds of the Pnrr - explained Rizzitelli - we are creating new new educational laboratories in which the new editions of the training courses will be hosted".
In addition to the presentation of the companies, the young people also listened to practical advice and suggestions on how to create a CV and how to approach the first encounter with the world of work.
“Become competent, as much as possible. Because that is what will make the difference, in addition to the ability to solve problems – was the advice of Marco Acciari, of the regional agency Spazio Lavoro of the Lazio Region – in our region we have 16 ITS, and 98% of students who graduate from ITS find work. You have taken the right direction, now specialize and continue to train”.
“This is exactly what the essence of ITS is: the immediacy of entering the world of work at the end of the training course,” adds Adriano Cingolani, Marketing manager of ITS-ICT Academy. “Once the 1.080 hours planned in the classroom are over, the 720 in the company now begin. And we hope that this relationship will prove to be fruitful, that it will lead to continuity and more continuous collaboration with the companies that will collect them.”
According to data from the Lazio Region Employment Center, for those who graduate from ITS in the IT field, 61% of contracts are permanent, after the apprenticeship. "We met the kids already during the selection process - explain Mariangela Piccinini and Alberto Multari of Solving Team and Geek Logic - Now we expect the young people to be able to enter the company with adequate skills to approach the working reality.
We always look for people with an IT background, and the ITS deepens technical skills and facilitates entry into companies. This training helps to fill the gap in these areas”.
Once they arrive at the company, the young people "will be supported by a tutor who will help them identify their best placement at a professional level", explains Paolo Cruciani of the Data management company. "We are here because we are always looking for talents to include in our companies - adds Marco Di Lullo, of Philmark Group - And today this search has become increasingly difficult. The ITS provides a different training.
Longer and more professional. We are here to support Its-Ict Academy and to welcome some of the people who attended the school. Not enough IT technicians come out of universities or schools - he concludes - and the only way to fill this gap is training. Technical training but one that also gives importance to soft skills”.
