The video of a violent fight between two women in broad daylight in Piazza Nazionale in Napoli It's making the rounds online. The videos, filmed by those present and sent to MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, show the two protagonists punching each other, presumably over a traffic dispute, and pulling each other's hair: the classic "drascino."
Bystanders try to separate them while one of the two attacks the other, who falls to the ground. A subsequent video shows the two exchanging insults as they walk away from the square.
"Violence no longer has any limits," commented Francesco Emilio Borrelli, MP for the Green-Left Alliance. "Women and men, adults and children, it makes no difference. Every day now, there are people who try to turn our streets into a ring, seizing any excuse to argue and punch each other.
This time, the protagonists are two women who fought without holds barred in front of a large crowd in Piazza Nazionale. An unworthy spectacle, but unfortunately, one that is becoming increasingly common. These individuals must be severely punished if we want to stop the violent trend that is spreading through our city.
Borrelli calls for severe penalties for those who turn the streets into ring fights. "We can no longer tolerate scenes like this," he said. "We need a strong and decisive response from the institutions to punish those who commit acts of violence and restore safety to citizens."
