Sad news comes from the Cardarelli hospital in Naples, where the third elderly woman injured in the explosion that occurred in an apartment in Greek's tower the night between the 7th and the XNUMXth of February last.
After twenty days of agony, 82-year-old Rosa Pagano died from severe burns sustained in the accident. Rosa had been pulled alive from the rubble after the explosion and rushed to the burns unit at Cardarelli Hospital, but sadly she died.
The explosion had already killed Rosa's sister, Anna Pagano, and her husband, Rodolfo Iovine, both 78. The couple had been struck by the collapse of the wall of the adjacent apartment, caused by the explosion, while they were sleeping.

Rosa, however, was saved thanks to the timely intervention of her neighbors, but her condition proved fatal after several weeks of fighting.
Investigations indicated that the explosion was caused by a gas leak in the kitchen of Rosa's apartment, which triggered the building's structural collapse and caused the tragic accident.
All necessary measures have been taken, including the evacuation of families living on the ground floor of the building and the closure of the area for surveys by the competent authorities.
