“A unique journey into the world of female beauty through time will be possible on March 8, on the occasion of Women's Day, during the event “In the Villa of Poppea among women, nymphs and goddesses” at the Villa of Poppea. Objects related to cosmetics and beauty, such as bronze mirrors, curling irons, creams made from donkey milk and perfumes made with almond oil, flowers and citrus fruits, will be exhibited in a suggestive context.
The event, organized by the Gruppo Storico Oplontino, will offer an authentic experience of the first half of the 9st century BC with guided tours at 30:10, 30:11 and 30:XNUMX, curated by the Archeoclub D'Italia of Torre Annunziata. During the visit, it will be possible to admire and learn how female beauty was cared for in that period.
Admission will be free for women, making the initiative even more special. Mirella Azzurro, President of Archeoclub D'Italia of Torre Annunziata, expresses gratitude to the Superintendence and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii for authorizing the holding of this fascinating event.
