The State made its presence felt this morning in the municipalities of Afragola, Caivano and Casoria with a joint High Impact operation between the police forces which led to the arrest of a person and the seizure of weapons, ammunition, fake watches, cash and contraband cigarettes.
The State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza conducted a series of “high impact” services this morning, involving approximately 200 operators in the cities of Afragola, Casoria, Casavatore and Caivano.
During the searches, several individuals were identified, with one individual arrested for possession of an unlicensed weapon and other individuals reported for various charges.
During the operation, two pistols, numerous cartridges, 22 watches of well-known brands – 10 of which were fake – were seized, as well as 24.000 euros in cash, foreign manufactured tobacco products without the State Monopoly mark and a counterfeit license plate.
Some people were fined for violations of the Highway Code. The activities involved several units, including the Naples Flying Squad, the Afragola Police Station, the Campania Crime Prevention Department, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza with various special units.
The Fire Department also participated in the operation, which was monitored from above by a Carabinieri helicopter. This joint intervention demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement to combat crime and ensure the safety of the territory.
