During the week of April 11-16, the police officers of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, in collaboration with the Italian Army, engaged in the operation called “Safe Roads”, carried out an extraordinary territorial control service.
During the activity, 280 people were identified, of which 56 had police records, and 46 vehicles were checked.
Furthermore, a 43 year old man, originally from Catania, was arrested for escaping from house arrest and a 49 year old man, originally from Catania, was reported. Napoli, as he had already been sanctioned with an order to leave because he was once again caught carrying out illegal trading activities near Piazza Garibaldi.
