Anne Hughes, a 72-year-old British woman, has suddenly gained notoriety on TikTok after she was caught on CCTV at a convenience store in Tonteg, South Wales, hanging in the air with her jacket caught in the shop’s shutter.
The incident has garnered over 15 million views on TikTok, becoming a viral phenomenon. Ms Hughes, who works as a cleaner at the store, was not injured. She explained that she accidentally leaned her back against the shutter when the owner opened it, who had not noticed her presence.
She was quickly helped, thus avoiding a possible fall. Although the accident caused her an initial shock, Hughes took the situation with humor, joking about her newfound celebrity.
