In 2024, three more will be inaugurated nursery schools for children from 0 to 36 months in the territory of Herculaneum, with one of them placed in the Virtual Archaeological Museum. This news was announced by Ciro Buonajuto, mayor of Ercolano and national vice president of the ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities).
Buonajuto explains that opening a nursery school within the MAV not only expands care options for Ercolano families, but also aims to promote access to culture and learning from an early age. The mayor emphasizes that this represents a significant step in building an inclusive community, where education and culture are accessible to all.

Along with the two additional daycare centers opening at the Rodinò Institute and the Via Viola facilities, the commitment to children's well-being and development is stronger than ever. These new facilities will offer a welcoming and professional environment for young citizens, providing them with the foundation for a bright and promising future.
The creation of a dedicated children's space within the MAV is made possible by the repurposing of several municipally owned spaces. Furthermore, in parallel with this initiative, renovations to the Museum's Theater will be completed by the end of the year thanks to co-financing from the Municipality and the Metropolitan City of Naples.
