**Celebration of International Women's Day at Cinema Academy Astra with “AstraDoc”**
To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024, Arci Movie presents a special event of “AstraDoc – Viaggio nel cinema del reale” at the Cinema Academy Astra. Two significant films will be screened to tell the story of women’s rights battles.
The first film on the program, “Seven Winters in Tehran,” offers an in-depth look at the condition of women in Iran through a touching story of violence. It will be followed by the screening of “Lala,” which tells the story of a young Roma woman born and raised in Italy without documents and a residence permit, mixing reality and fiction.
Both films will be enriched by the presence of female guests, such as Ludovica Fales, director of “Lala,” and Gina Annunziata, coordinator of the School of Cinema, Photography and Audiovisual at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. “Seven Winters in Tehran” tells the story of Reyhaneh Jabbari, a symbol of resistance for the fight for women's rights in Iran.
Focusing on the reality of Roma people in Italy, the film “Lala” highlights the challenges related to the identity and rights of this often unrecognized community. The “AstraDoc” festival is organized by Arci Movie in collaboration with various institutions and with the patronage of the Municipality of Naples. For further information and updates on the screenings, you can visit AstraDoc’s social channels or the website www.arcimovie.it.
