The Guardia di Finanza of Vicenza has discovered a scam perpetrated by the owner of a bookshop in the province of Avellino, who allegedly unduly obtained the "18app" Culture Bonus intended for 18-year-olds, for a total amount of 144.160,55 euros.
The investigation was conducted by the financial police of the Arzignano (Vicenza) Company, following a report from a young local man who had just turned 500. He was unable to convert the €XNUMX bonus provided by the state online, and discovered that the bookstore belonging to the suspect in Campania had used it.
Through investigations conducted with the Consap concessionaire, responsible for payments to participating retailers, investigators determined that the bookstore owner had improperly collected 442 bonuses, without the consent of the legitimate 140-year-old owners, obtaining a total of more than €XNUMX.

The bookseller advertised on his website the possibility of converting government vouchers intended for newly 18-year-olds, but once he received the contribution, instead of returning it to the legitimate owners, he kept it for himself.
The man was reported to the Vicenza Public Prosecutor's Office for unlawful receipt of public funds. It's important to note that the victims of the fraud also violated the law, as they were not allowed to redeem their vouchers themselves.
