The World and European Table Football Champions, the modern evolution of Subbuteo, will be received in Rome by the Minister of Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, next Tuesday, March 12. The delegation of the Italian National Team, holder of the titles of World Champion (Rome 2022) and European Champion (Gibraltar 2023), will be led by captain Saverio Bari. Among the members present there will also be the individual World Champion, Luca Colangelo, and the players of the Open National Team: Luca Battista, Micael Caviglia, Matteo Ciccarelli and Filippo Cubeta.
The meeting will also be attended by the technical commissioner Marco Lamberti, Pietro Ielapi, President of the Italian Table Football Sports Federation (FISCT), and Mauro Simonazzi, President of the National Subbuteo Sector of the Organization for Sports Education (OPES). OPES is the Sports Promotion Body recognized by CONI, to which FISCT is affiliated.
The meeting with Minister Abodi represents a moment of celebration and recognition for the excellence achieved by the Italian National Table Football Team. The discipline, which has seen significant growth in recent years, has led Italy to excel at a global and continental level. The presence of the Minister underlines the importance attributed to sport and its ability to unite and inspire, even in its most innovative and specialized forms.
