The Virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum (MAV) and the Museums of the Royal Palace of Portici (MUSA), located in the enchanting area of the "Golden Mile", have entered into an innovative collaboration to offer visitors a compelling integrated experience.
This partnership aims to showcase the area's rich history and culture by introducing a single ticket that will allow access to both museums. Ciro Cacciola, Director of the Herculaneum Museum of Archaeological and Archaeological Heritage, emphasized the importance of building relationships with cultural institutions in the Vesuvian area to foster the development of cultural activities and the valorization of the local cultural heritage.
The agreement with MUSA represents a significant step in this direction, offering visitors the opportunity to blend history and digital technology at a prestigious site like the "Golden Mile." MUSA Director Stefano Mazzolemi emphasized that the primary goal of this collaboration is to increase visitor numbers by allowing them to visit both the MAV and MUSA with a single ticket.
This synergy will promote the enjoyment of a unique cultural heritage, helping to spark greater interest in the "Golden Mile" and its historical wonders.
Different types of integrated tickets will be available, designed to meet the needs of different types of visitors:
1. Integrated ticket for school groups: €12,00 per student
Intended for students accompanied by at least one teacher
Includes a guided tour of the MAV Virtual Archaeological Museum and a guided tour of your choice (piano nobile or botanical garden) of the MUSA.
Minimum group: 15 students
One (1) accompanying teacher for every 10 paying students will receive a free ticket
Validity: 1 day
2. Integrated ticket for adult groups: €15,00 per person
Intended for groups of at least 25 visitors with mandatory reservation
Validity: 1 day
3. Integrated ticket for single adults: €18,00 per person
Usable with online booking, from Tuesday to Sunday
Validity: 30 days
4. Integrated ticket for single children (6-13 years old): €14,00 per person
Usable with online booking, from Tuesday to Sunday
Validity: 30 days
Furthermore, a new development will soon be revealed, the result of the collaboration between the MAV of Ercolano and the Museum of the Royal Palace of Portici.
