The former captain of the Napoli, Paolo Cannavaro, has openly revealed his desires in the world of football, expressing the strong bond that unites him to the city of Naples and the blue team. Speaking during an interview for "Another story" On Dazn, Cannavaro shared his future ambitions, revealing an innate passion for the Napoli, both as a player and as a potential coach.

"For a boy who was a ball boy, a player, and a captain, the dream is Naples.", declared Paolo Cannavaro, underlining the deep bond that has always united him to the Neapolitan club. "I've returned to live in Naples, also because the dream of someone like me who sees himself as a coach is to be able to do so on the Napoli bench.

I think in my case it's obvious to think about it."

Cannavaro's most vivid memory is of his attempt to win the Scudetto with Napoli during Walter Mazzarri's final year as manager. "One satisfaction I would have liked to give myself was to win the Scudetto in Naples.", revealed the former Italian defender. "We had a break in January, then Juventus extended the contract, but I really believed in it that year. Mazzarri was incredibly important to us. I've always admired his ability and his way of convincing you that what he said was in the best interest of the team."

Although the Scudetto eluded him during his playing career, Cannavaro experienced moments of great joy with Napoli, such as winning the Coppa Italia in 2012. "I lifted a trophy after a 25-year fast.", he recalled with emotion. "I think about it, I relive it often. It was the cup of rebirth after years and truly complicated seasons. It was a realization, of being finally back and from there, ready to take back what was rightfully ours."
