Carabinieri from the Trentola Ducenta station arrested four Italians in Carinola for money laundering.
The Carabinieri have identified a group dedicated to recycling stolen car parts. The military followed the route of a stolen car, a black Fiat Panda, thanks to license plate detectors.
The Carabinieri raided a farmhouse in Carinola where the 4 men were dismantling the car.
A 35-year-old, a 39-year-old and a 50-year-old from Grazzanise and a 37-year-old from Casal di Principe ended up in handcuffs.
They are all accused of aiding and abetting money laundering. During the raid, the Carabinieri seized mechanical and body parts of numerous cars, equipment and tools suitable for dismantling.
The Carabinieri operation led to the arrest of a criminal group dedicated to the laundering of stolen cars. The seized material will allow us to trace other car thefts.
