Three "acrobatic" thieves of Albanian origin were arrested by the Carabinieri on the orders of the investigating judge of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The Sammarinese Prosecutor's Office, which coordinated the investigation, accuses them of numerous residential burglaries committed between the provinces of Caserta and Fermo. They had become the terror of the citizens of Caserta and the province.
The investigation began with a home burglary that occurred in Vitulazio in December 2022. Carabinieri officers from the local station discovered that an Albanian man, despite limping, had climbed up the gas pipes to the first floor of a building, stealing wedding rings, valuable watches, necklaces, and bracelets.
Within a few months, the "acrobat thief" was identified, and shortly thereafter his accomplices were also identified, all compatriots and skilled at climbing gutters or gas pipes.

The investigations revealed that the group had committed thefts both in Caserta and in the Marche region, always using the same methods.
Two other accomplices of Albanian origins were investigated
The thieves acted when no one was home, a sign that they were conducting inspections before striking. They usually preferred jewelry and watches, but on one occasion, in Maddaloni, they stole a family's savings.
In addition to the three arrested, two other Albanian citizens are also under investigation in the investigation.
