The prefect of Caserta Giuseppe Castaldo and Police Commissioner Andrea Grassi delivered a check for two thousand euros to the director of the State Police Assistance Fund, Serafina Fascina.
This sum is the result of sales of products from Antica distilleria Petrone with the brand of the State Police. The ceremony took place in Mondragone at the company headquarters.
The funds were donated to the “Marco Valerio” Assistance Plan, which offers an annual financial contribution to the families of police officers with minor children affected by serious pathologies.
This assistance plan has been active since 2008 and is named after Marco Valerio, in memory of the fifteen-year-old son of the Superintendent of the State Police Vincenzo Ricca, who passed away during a pilgrimage to Lourdes.
The Plan, initially known as the “Chronic Plan” in the 60s, today supports approximately 700 children with special needs.
