"The Second Ride. Your Wound Is Your Superpower" - Feltrinelli - is the title of the book by Pachy Scognamiglio from Castellammare di Stabia, vocal coach to some of the most illustrious figures in the music and arts scene, with a remarkable story of rebirth behind him. The book was presented on Friday, March 15th at the Teatro Karol in Castellammare di Stabia.

Journalist Pierluigi Fiorenza and actress Federica Citarella, who were entrusted with the readings, conversed with their guest and entertained a large and varied audience. Many family members and friends have followed his artistic path since the beginning of his career, together with a large number of people who came for the attraction of his fame.

A significant thank you, that Pachy Scognamiglio expressed on his Instagram page on the occasion of the first presentation, allows us to grasp with evident clarity the meaning and the objective assigned to the book, as he then lucidly explained in the meeting on Friday.

“A huge thank you to my family for being so ahead of the curve and supporting the right to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Thank you to broken kids like me who are working to express their second ride.”

"The Second Round of the Carousel" is, in fact, an autobiography in which the author lays himself bare, revealing his personal and family history, without any sugarcoating or incomplete details. That of a boy who was bullied but never marginalized, says Scognamiglio himself, who at just 25 discovered he was suffering from fibromyalgia, a chronic condition that also affects the larynx and, by compromising the voice, destroyed his dream of becoming a singer.

At 21 he left Castellammare for Milan with the right determination to make it happen. A few years later, with the same decision, a lot of courage, as well as a focused and careful study, he reversed the course of the adverse wind and recovered the dream, which today is called heARTvoice.

HeARTvoice is a vocal technique method, the result of a study that has as its object the connection between voice and body, the fundamental part of which is represented by the speed of learning due to the effect of many disciplines conveyed therein, which allow to obtain results in shorter times than in the past.

There are many artists who have successfully experimented with the method that Scognamiglio has developed through exercises adopted to improve their condition, today certified by the Spanish doctor Alfonso Borragan, a leading expert in phoniatrics and director of his phoniatric center in Santander.

These are the sensational premises, the founding basis of Pachi Scognamiglio's significant contribution to Mahmood and Elodie's success at Sanremo.

These are the reasons why artists like Madame, Sangiovanni, Marracash, Sfera Ebbasta, BigMama, Fabri Fibra, Giuliano Sangiorgi, Emma and many others rely on him to hone their singing skills, obtaining sure feedback and a effective impact on their careers.

This is the path that saw him arrive at Sanremo this year behind the bright scenes of a stage, where the spotlight was on eight artists professionally guided by him towards success.

In the Milanese loft, the real headquarters of his activity, Pachy imparts the technique with the aim of positively inspiring new talents, as well as supporting the most established ones. What he manages is in fact an innovative house for artists, equipped with a harmonious and reassuring atmosphere aimed at those who want to cultivate their dream. He lays the foundations for them to believe in themselves and face fear by conveying its positive energy, empathizing with it. Because the obstacle that compromised his dream, in reality has transformed into an opportunity that today allows him to feel better and stronger that of others.

“…it is more of a house for artists than a singing school and the difference is substantial. We train, we sing, we write, we try to find new talents, cultivate them and give opportunities to the kids, I hope. The goal is to create a place where people can believe they can realize their dreams in the sense of finding their own identity and their own adequacy in the world or their own artistic expression.

What I do is spend a lot of time with them and observe their body language. At the festival this year with 8 artists, I felt satisfaction by reviewing the images, not during. At that moment I am exhausted, during the week of Sanremo I am seriously worried and always on the move, but I am grateful because I didn't even think of achieving all this."

“Your wound is your superpower” is therefore an eloquent subtitle with which Pachy urges everyone, but especially young people, to seize and accept the challenges that life offers. Challenges to be faced with determination in view of a rematch, since this will prove capable of giving even more light to an apparently shattered dream, precisely because of its transformation.

At the end of the presentation, Pachy took the stage, and attracted everyone's silent attention, with a heartfelt invitation that, especially in these times made dark by the axe of uncertainty and instability for many young people, appears more significant and appropriate than ever:

“To achieve your goals you have to be at peace with your wounds, with your limits. Positive thinking as an end in itself gets you nowhere, you have to heal all the wounds, the failures.

On a subconscious level, if we have blocks—or reasons linked to our childhood—and we have that childish voice that tells us that somehow we're not up to it or can't make it, I invite everyone to find inspiring people, I invite you to seek treatment. Psychotherapy should be the foundation of human well-being. I'm an advocate of human well-being, to avoid throwing up our problems on others. So let's take care of ourselves, take care of yourselves, and make everyone around us feel good and express our true selves."

“The Second Round of the Carousel. Your Wound is Your Superpower” is certainly a text that opens to reflection and inspires on important themes of our daily life, but also a source from which to draw in order not to stop hoping with enthusiasm.
