A Local Police officer from the Municipality of San Cipriano was implicated today, along with 13 other suspects, in an operation conducted by the Carabinieri of Castello di Cisterna.
The authorities accuse the agent of external competition in mafia association in the context of the activities of the Angelino clan, linked to extortion in the period between May and November 2023 in the area of Caivano and surroundings.

The investigations revealed intense criminal activity aimed at extorting numerous local businesses, with 36 documented incidents of extortion or attempted extortion.
Some of those arrested are also suspected of having facilitated the fugitive status of the criminal gang's leader, Antonio Angelino, known as "Tibiuccio," who was arrested on July 9, 2023.
