The Naples Local Police intensified security measures for the football match between Napoli and Torino held yesterday evening at the historic Diego Armando Maradona stadium. The main objective of the operation was to prevent and repress illegal activities and common crimes that often occur during events of this magnitude.
The officers concentrated their efforts on controlling the external perimeter of the stadium, implementing actions aimed at complying with the current mayoral ordinance. In particular, checks were carried out in 9 catering activities, in order to ensure compliance with the ban on the sale of drinks in bottles or cans. During these inspections, a report was drawn up following the direct sale in cans without spilling the plastic content.
In parallel, 9 other businesses were checked, including vicinato-foodtrack and official merchandising, resulting in a large seizure of drinks. These actions helped maintain safety and ensure compliance with the rules during the football event.
As regards the control and application of the Highway Code, the officers issued 118 reports. Five of these were addressed to uninsured motorcycles, while 85 vehicles were towed away to ensure public order. In addition, 10 illegal parking attendants were reported, 7 of whom were reported to the competent authorities.
