A courageous intervention by an EAV security officer led to the arrest of a drug courier who was attempting to transport 10 kilos of drugs on Circumvesuviana trains.
The incident occurred at the station Napoli-Garibaldi.

The officer then alerted the military detachment stationed on site, who apprehended the fugitive before the police arrived. Subsequent investigations revealed that the "packages" in the backpack were actually blocks of drugs.
The man was arrested. EAV President Umberto De Gregorio praised the employee's courage: "Her intervention allowed us to unmask a drug dealer and remove a large quantity of drugs from circulation. Our officer didn't look the other way; she ran like an athlete and jumped the turnstiles to stop the young dealer. I called her to thank her."
