The Lagotto Romagnolo puppy, Ciro, had been taken from his rightful owner in the center of Santa Paolina, in the province of Avellino, on December 24. The Carabinieri found him at the home of a 65-year-old man, already known to the police.
On Christmas Eve morning, a man was walking in the town center with Ciro, when the puppy was suddenly stolen. The owner, a resident of the small town of Santa Paolina, for almost three months, feared he would never see his puppy again.
But the other day the Carabinieri of the Montefusco station, under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Avellino, executed a precautionary seizure order concerning Ciro.
The Lagotto Romagnolo puppy was found in the home of a 65-year-old man, already known to the police, thanks to the investigations of the Carabinieri.
The latter were able to reconstruct the circumstances of the theft, the time and place where Ciro was taken away and therefore to locate the animal in the 65-year-old's house. Thanks to the preventive seizure order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Avellino, Ciro returned to his rightful owner.
