Campania Governor Vincenzo De Luca is among six people who will be judged by the Court of Auditors over the issue of the smart card introduced in the Campania region.
This card was intended to prove vaccination against Covid, but the prosecution points out that it was an unnecessary expense considering the existence of the national green pass.
The Guardia di Finanza, under the coordination of prosecutors Davide Vitale and Mauro Senatore, investigated the matter and the summons to trial was notified to the suspects last August, including De Luca and other members of the Region's crisis unit.
According to prosecutors Vitale and Senatore, the damage resulting from what is considered a useless expense would amount to 3,7 million euros, divided into different percentages for each of the six defendants. Here is the distribution of the damage:
Governor De Luca is charged with damages equal to 25% of that amount, equivalent to 928.725 euros.
Italo Giulivo, as coordinator of the Regional Crisis Unit and general director of public works and Civil Protection of the Campania Region, is charged with 20% of the damage, equal to 742.980 euros.
Antonio Postiglione, as member and deputy coordinator of the Regional Crisis Unit as well as general director of the General Directorate of Health and Coordination of the SSR of the Campania Region, is responsible for 10% of the damage, which amounts to 371.490 euros.
Massimo Bisogno, member of the Crisis Unit, is liable for 25% of the damage, or 928.725 euros.
Ugo Trama, as a member of the Regional Crisis Unit and director of the General Directorate of Health and Coordination of the Health Service of the Campania Region, is involved for 10% of the damage, which corresponds to 371.490 euros.
Finally, Roberta Santaniello, member of the Regional Crisis Unit and manager of the Campania Region, is responsible for the remaining 10% of the damage, equal to 371.490 euros.
