The President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, proudly announced that the punctuality of trains on the Cumana and Circumflegrea lines has reached a high rate of 90%, comparable to countries such as Switzerland and Germany.
This result was confirmed by the president of the Autonomous Body Volturno, Umberto De Gregorio. The Campania Region has invested 1 billion and 300 million euros for the renewal of the local public service train fleet, presenting six new trains for the Phlegraean lines.
De Luca stressed the importance of this investment also to support local companies and guarantee jobs in the transport sector.
Furthermore, De Luca referred to a dangerous episode caused by an abandoned refrigerator on the Circumvesuviana tracks in Pompeii, expressing concern about irresponsible acts that could put the safety of travellers and railway personnel at risk.
The invitation is therefore to pay greater attention and avoid dangerous behaviour along the railway lines.
