"'Andromac(hi)a' is released on stage at the TRAM Theatre: a monologue on the myth"
At the TRAM Theater, from March 15 to 17, 2024, "Andromac(hi)a. Monologue in three mo(vi)menti," written by Armando Rotondi and performed by Valeria Impagliazzo, will be performed, directed by Rotondi and Impagliazzo.
The monologue is a dramatic reflection on the mythological figure of Andromache, who lost all her loved ones, including her husband Hector, at the hands of Achilles. The text focuses on specific moments in Andromache's life and on her awareness of being a mythical character. Through three intersecting movements, the comparison between Andromache and other characters such as Hector, Astyanax and Neoptolemus emerges, in a context inspired by various authors, including Homer, Euripides, Heiner Müller and Jean Cocteau.
"Andromac(hi)a" is described as an artistic journey between Spain and Italy, where the rehearsals took place, exploring the different facets of Andromache. The production is curated by Edizioni Progetto Cultura and features international artists such as Martin Lewton and Lea Marks.
