On the occasion of the round table "Sustainability and sporting loyalty" organised by the Davide Astori association at the Hall of Honour of the Coni, the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, shared his concerns regarding the situation concerning the FIGC president, Gabriele Gravina. While expressing clear concern, Abodi stressed the need to adopt a cautious and respectful approach to this sensitive issue.
“It worries me a lot, but I won’t go any further. I am used to speaking with the necessary caution. In the face of this affair, prudence and guarantees are needed. The judiciary will do its part first and foremost. I am also against people’s courts and street trials”, said Minister Abodi, highlighting his opposition to summary trials and investigations carried out in the public arena.
The Minister stressed the importance of the judiciary's role in clarifying the issue and ensuring a correct assessment of the charges. “I heard from Gravina, also because we have daily problems that need to be addressed, what emerges from the news of this fact is the disturbing fact”, he concluded, referring to the complexity of the issue and the need to face the daily challenges of the world of sport with responsibility and determination.
