A businessman from Bologna was the victim of an extortion attempt using mafia methods, but investigators from the Guardia di Finanza Bologna, together with those of Scico, arrested four people involved in the criminal attempt.
The suspects, three Neapolitans and one Salerno, were reached by preventive detention orders in prison. The entrepreneur was contacted by the four individuals who tried to convince him to purchase fictitious tax credits for a large sum of money.
This proposal turned out to be a real mafia extortion, with threats against the entrepreneur and his family if he refused the offer.
The threats were described as typically mafia-like, highlighting the involvement of people linked to organized crime. Investigations confirmed the fraudulent nature of the proposed tax credits.
