Carabinieri from the Teverola station promptly responded and arrested two individuals shortly after they committed a theft at a Wind Tre cell tower in Casaluce. The suspicious presence of two young men near the tower was reported via a call from a citizen to the local station.
When the military arrived on the scene, the thieves had just fled aboard a black Fiat Punto. The search was immediately launched, and the fugitives, a 33-year-old and a 25-year-old originally from Giugliano in Campania, were intercepted and stopped in Via Roma, in the municipality of Teverola. Inside the vehicle, 3 radio modules and recently stolen copper cables were found and seized.
The burglary tools used to commit the theft and the vehicle used to escape were also seized. The damage, limited to the damage to the site, was estimated by the technician of the Wind Tre company at over 2000 euros, a sum that will be returned once the radio modules are recovered. The arrested, pending the summary trial, were placed under house arrest at their respective residences.
