Napoli"I always say in my conferences and meetings what would be needed from a regulatory point of view to make the system work better, I can't do more than that."
The head of the Public Prosecutor's Office said this NapoliNicola Gratteri, responding, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Fai Antiracket association in Chiaiano, Naples, to those who asked him what should be done to prevent the Camorra from attacking the PNRR funding, estimated in the Neapolitan capital at 1.086 euros per capita.
Gratteri then explained that, in the fight against the crime, his interlocutors are primarily the heads of the police force: "I haven't spoken to the government," he said, "because for me, my interlocutors are the heads of the law enforcement agencies, the general commander of the Carabinieri, the general commander of the Guardia di Finanza, and the chief of police.
They are three people of the highest level and they are sending and have sent here to Naples elements that are truly among the best in Italy."

The purpose of my presence here tonight is to tell the loan sharks, the extorted: report it, come visit me, I'm available to welcome you. Even on Saturdays or Sundays, contact me by email, report it, you have no excuses."
Gratteri finally underlined the importance of collaboration between citizens, law enforcement, and the judiciary: "Here in Campania," he added, "we have a top-notch judicial police force. We have a well-equipped judiciary, and we're improving it. We're not at the top, but I say this because I'm obviously never satisfied; I want to achieve a higher level of performance and results.
Together we can do this, if each of us participates. If, however," he concluded, "individualism continues, we won't get anywhere."
