The Premio Greencare Association has committed to the three-year care and maintenance of the Molosiglio Gardens, a 21-square-meter public green space, marking the largest adoption by a non-profit organization in the city of Naples. The work, which began last December, has already brought several new features to the Gardens.

These include the restoration of the rose garden with the planting of 45 roses around the Monument to the Infantryman, the installation of signage in Italian and English dedicated to birdlife in collaboration with the Association for Ornithological Studies of Southern Italy, and the provision of nesting boxes and feeders to encourage bird life in an urban environment.

Information panels, again in Italian and English, will also be installed to highlight the area's greenery, including one of the city's last surviving pine forests, where the association will focus its efforts with an endotherapy project proposed to the City of Naples. Furthermore, the process of removing the stumps of 16 trees felled due to disease will begin, in accordance with the Urban Green Regulations.

GreenCare President Benedetta de Falco presented the three-year project to Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi today, in the presence of Councilor for Parks and Health Vincenzo Santagada and President of the First Municipality Giovanna Mazzone. The mayor emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in maintaining urban green spaces and announced the imminent approval of new green regulations.

De Falco highlighted the association's commitment to revitalizing the wonderful Molosiglio gardens and expressed gratitude for the city administration's trust. The dog area has been redeveloped, and rules for peaceful coexistence among the animals have been established. Other innovations include the use of battery-powered, fuel-free tools for maintenance, provided by the company Batù Verde d'Autore.

Other initiatives include a competition for students from the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, green story readings for children, cultural visits, and cleanup days with volunteers from the FAI Naples Delegation. The day also included the award ceremony for the 2024 Civic Recognition Medals to deserving citizens, urban greenery curators, and others, sponsored by Premio GreenCare.

The guided tour of the gardens allowed guests to appreciate not only the verdant beauty but also the area's historical and artistic features. All activities are supported by several GreenCare Patrons, including Ferrarelle Società Benefit, Antony Morato, Idea Bellezza, and an anonymous benefactor.
