The Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office has placed the spotlight on the "big concert" held on August 16th as part of the Summer Festival, an event promoted by the city administration. At least three people, whose names are still unknown, are currently under investigation for disrupting the auction process and abuse of office for having directly entrusted the organization of the event to an Avellino agency, at a cost of €280.
According to the complaints filed by opposition city councilors Nicola Giordano, Francesco Iandoli, and Dino Preziosi, who were also interviewed by Chief Prosecutor Domenico Airoma, the East Side agency, at the time the contract was awarded, did not have the authorization to manage events and shows.
