Juan Jesus, defender of Napoli, has decided not to take further legal action against the Sports Judge's decision to acquit Acerbi.Although he had considered the possibility of resorting to ordinary justice, the Brazilian ultimately chose to respect the arbitration clause.
The decision not to proceed with further appeals was motivated by the desire to remain “inside the system”, respecting the procedures established by the sports institutions. Technically, Juan Jesus should have obtained authorization from the FIGC to proceed legally, but he preferred not to take this path.
“I have read several times, with great regret, the decision by which the Sports Judge deemed that there was no proof that I was the victim of racist insults during the Inter-Napoli match on March 17: it is an assessment that, although I respect it, I struggle to understand and it leaves me with great bitterness”, Juan Jesus had stated.
