A 29-year-old of Georgian origin was arrested by the Carabinieri in Mirabella Eclano, in the province of Avellino, after stealing six packs of luxury perfumes worth a thousand euros.
The man entered a perfume shop and, using a shielded backpack to evade the alarm systems, stole the perfumes. He then fled the scene in a high-powered car.
The Carabinieri, who had been alerted by the shop staff, chased the man and arrested him.

The Carabinieri investigation revealed that the man had already committed another robbery at a local perfumery ten days earlier. Furthermore, he was wearing smart glasses with which he filmed the stores before committing the thefts.
Investigators are using surveillance camera footage to search for any possible accomplices. The man will face charges of aggravated and repeated theft.
