The "G. Carducci" classical high school in Nola triumphed in the regional finals of the "Debate" competition, a competition dedicated to the art of argumentation, and will have the honor of representing Campania for the fourth time at the national finals in May in Marina di Massa. This success is the fruit of commitment and dedication that have seen the Nola team excel over other schools in the region.
The competition is anything but simple: it involves two teams of students who must support and refute a statement or argument proposed by the teacher, taking a stand for or against.

"The regional selections have demonstrated that this practice goes beyond simple competition: it is an opportunity for young people to develop fundamental skills for their personal and professional growth.", explains the school principal Assunta Compagnone. "Debate isn't just about arguing a point of view; it requires listening to and respecting others' opinions, even when they starkly conflict with one's own. The challenges between the participating teams sparked engaging and stimulating debates, testing not only rhetorical skills but also critical thinking and empathy."
"The debate world, which includes approximately 30 schools in Campania participating in the national WEDEBATE network, saw Carducci High School as a pioneer about ten years ago, introducing debate into its curriculum as a regional leader. The results achieved are tangible and exciting."
