On the occasion of International Women's Day, the deputy prosecutor Oriana Zona sent a message of encouragement to the law students of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli.
“I was a criminal lawyer and now a magistrate, and I have never suffered gender discrimination, and this is because I studied and was prepared,” Zona explained.
And then he added: “To the students present today I say that you must study, because only studying will make you free and independent, in your thoughts and in your life.”
Against discrimination: "In my opinion, the 8th March celebration represents a veiled discrimination, because as long as there is a need for a celebration, it is as if the existence of discrimination is recognized."
“The real discriminant of everything is preparation and competence.” Freedom and independence: “Even the children of free and independent women will not support discrimination because they are educated in freedom and equality.”
The words of the prosecutor Zona are an important message of hope and encouragement for young women who aspire to a career in the judiciary or in other fields.
Study and competence are the best weapons to fight discrimination and achieve independence.
