The celebrations for Mimì's 80th birthday at the Railway began with the opening of the exhibition "80 and the exhibition. The story, 1943/2023" and the awarding of the Medal of the city of Napoli Mayor Gaetano Manfredi greeted Mimì. The celebrations continued with the launch of the "Porta Mimì Via" doggie bag.

"Porta Mimì Via" brings the authentic flavors of the renowned and historic restaurant to life, allowing customers to take home any leftovers they haven't eaten at the restaurant. The motto, "An endless taste experience," underscores the establishment's anti-procrastination philosophy.

This practice, already widespread in the United States and mandatory in France and Spain, is at the center of a debate that began in Italy in January of this year, with the proposed "Mandatory Doggy Bag" law.

Regardless of the law's ratification, Mimì alla Ferrovia has decided to offer this service, demonstrating its commitment to environmental protection. Leftover food is packaged in reusable or recyclable containers, enclosed in an elegant and fun recycled paper case.

Ida Giugliano, one of the owners of the restaurant, says that "Cooking is an act of love, and with Porta Mimì Via, this act of love can be shared with anyone, anywhere."

In fact, the doggy bag isn't just a way to combat food waste; it's also becoming a convenient carry-on box for carrying menu items to enjoy on a train journey, or as a surprise during a busy workday. "Porta Mimì Via" can also be a special birthday gift, offering an explosion of flavors that transcend the walls of the restaurant located on Via Alfonso d'Aragona.
